Chaperones (Having another person present during your examination)
Last Updated: Thursday, 03 September 2026You may request a chaperone for any appointment. Chaperones are commonly offered during intimate examinations, but can be requested for any consultation or examination where you would like additional support.
If you would like a chaperone, please let us know before your appointment or inform reception on arrival. You can also ask your doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional during your consultation.
If a chaperone is not immediately available, an alternative appointment may be offered where clinically appropriate.
