Samples
We only accept samples that have been requested by the nurse or GP. Your sample should be accompanied by the relevant request form. Please return samples to the surgery before 12pm.
If you think you need to leave a sample but have not been asked to do so you will need to complete an email consultation via the practice website. If you are unable to do this you will need to contact the reception team. Any samples brought in to the surgery that are not clinically requested for will not be taken by the reception team.
We will not contact you about your results if they are normal. The clinical team will send you a message or arrange for you to have a telephone or face to face consultation if they want to discuss results with you.
Please ask at reception for a suitable container. Containers must be labelled with your name, date of birth and date and time of the specimen. Most results are returned electronically throughout the day.
