To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday):
- Phone us on 0151 427 6239 to Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm
- Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist. The surgery doors open at 8:30pm and close at 6:30pm. We are open Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays and occasional closing for training.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you. This may mean you are given the details of another service, such as a walk-in centre or Accident and Emergency, if this is the most appropriate setting for your care.
Routine appointments with GP, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant
To request a routine appointment:
- Phone us on 0151 427 6239 to Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm
- Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist. The surgery doors open at 8:30pm and close at 6:30pm. We are open Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays and occasional closing for training.

Online booking
At present, due to high demand, we do not offer appointments you can book online or via the NHS App. We hope to be able to offer this in the future.
Administration queries
If you would like to request a sick note, information about a hospital letter or test results, please complete a Patch between 8am and 12pm between Monday and Friday.
Home Visits
If you feel you require a home visit please call reception on 0151 427 6239 between 8am and 10am. You will need to explain the reason for the visit. The GP will review your request and, if deemed clinically necessary, visit you/the patient. This may be the following day, if the doctor feels this is appropriate.

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:
- By phone
- Face to face at the surgery
- On a video call
- By text or email
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
To cancel your appointment:
• Phone us Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
• Reply to an appointment reminder text with 'Cancel'
• Use your NHS account through the NHS website, the MyGP app or in the NHS app
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk) or call 111.
111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
- If you need an interpreter
